It’s no secret the Obama administration worked very hard to flood the United States with illegals.
The former president effectively opened our borders and tied the hands of law enforcement to do anything about those that were caught.
But just as bad as the Obama-encouraged invasion was his blatant attempts erode our Second Amendment rights.
He did this with both blatant policy pushes in Congress, and with a secret program designed to increase gun violence to make it easier for the public to accept his policies.
As reported at Allen B. West, a congressional hearing on Wednesday, the committee members blasted Obama and former AG Eric Holder for their covering up an investigation into the wrongful death of a Border Patrol Agent.
This agent was killed as a result of the Obama’s failed government program called Operation Fast and Furious, which had the government illegally selling guns to cartel groups.
The agent was killed with one of these weapons.
The House Oversight Committee released a 300-page report that shows Holder’s DoJ deliberately tried to hide the truth the loved ones of the victim, Brian Terry.
The DoJ saw Terry’s family as a nuisance, and didn’t believe they deserved to know the truth of his death, seeing how it would have been disastrous for Obama’s presidency.
The report also rebukes Obama’s use of executive privilege to deny Congress any access to the records relating to Operation Fast and Furious.
“[Terry’s death] happened on Dec. 14, 2010, and we still don’t have all the answers,” Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah), committee chairman, said of Terry’s death.
“Brian Terry’s family should not have to wait six years for answers.”
Terry was killed during a gunfight between Border Patrol agents and a group of 6 drug cartel members. These criminals were roaming the border looking for other dealers to steal from.
The man that killed Terry, Heraclio Osorio-Arellanes, wasn’t apprehended until this April of this year by a joint U.S.-Mexico task force.
During the hearing on Wednesday, Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) accused the DOJ and ATF officials of obstructing the investigation and trying to silence ATF agents who blew the whistle on the insane gun-running program.
One of the whist-blowers and subsequent victims of reprisals from Obama’s cronies, ATF agent John Dodson, testified that he’s been “in a state of purgatory” since he spoke out against the Fast and Furious.
“That decision, the single act of standing up and saying, ‘What we are doing is wrong’… instantly took my standing from being that of an agent of the government – to an enemy of the state,” Dodson said.
“ATF and DOJ officials implemented an all-out campaign to silence and discredit me… Suffice to say, the last six to seven years at ATF have not been the best for me or my career.”
The “most transparent administration in history” has once again been shown to be the most corrupt in history.
Not only did Obama open up our borders, he had his comrades illegally sell weapons to criminals, hoping they’d commit crimes and push the public towards supporting gun control measures.
This program directly resulted in Terry’s death, and the subsequent coverup of this unforgivable activity has itself been covered up by the left-wing media.
Only years later are we beginning to discover the depths of Obama’s treachery and the scary lengths he was willing to go to push his agenda.
