CNN somehow managed to build a reputation over the years as being the most “unbiased” news network.
Fox News and MSNBC are always the first to come up when folks talk about biased journalism, as they’re supposed to be examples of overt shilling on behalf of a specific party.
Whereas CNN is considered liberal, but fairer than the other two. That couldn’t be further from the truth.
But the leftists at CNN understand that such a perception exists, and take full advantage of it to spew their propaganda. Leading the charge is their supposedly truth-telling “reporter” Jake Tapper, who’s built up a false reputation for being fair.
As reported at the Conservative Tribune, Senator Marco Rubio was talking about Trump with Tapper on Sunday’s “State of the Union” program, when he rejected the narratives Tapper was pushing about Trump and Comey.
Tapper tried to accuse the president of obstructing justice by firing Comey and talked about all of the “anonymous sources” saying Trump will be forced to testify in the case.
But Rubio wasn’t taking the bait, instead, he put Taper and the left-wing media in its place.
“We don’t know yet,” Rubio said, responding to those claims. “Number one, I haven’t seen those notes. Number two we have yet to take the testimony from Director Comey.“
He then called out the media’s constant use of “insiders” and “sources” to discredit the president, highlighting their inability to get specific people to go on record to add credibility to these potentially fabricated claims.
“You say, ‘someone who knows him says,’ well we’re gonna have him in two weeks in front of the Intelligence Committee,” Rubio said.
“He’ll be asked that question. So in two weeks we’ll know a lot more.”
It’s obvious what Tapper and his leftist comrades are doing. They’re trying to paint the most negative picture possible about Trump, so the public will find him guilty before the investigation is concluded.
That way, once he’s exonerated, the public will still question whether or not the president is guilty of something.
Rubio then through down the gauntlet saying, “The best way to [get the facts out] is not to litigate it in the press, but to do our work and put the report in a way that’s credible.”
