Breaking: Obama Gets One Last Bi-Partisan KICK In The Pants…He’s Furious!

During the Obama era, many of the US’ relationships have been significantly eroded and undermined thanks to the president’s leftist ideology. The primary example of this is our relationship with Israel, one of our most respected and cherished allies.

Obama has consistently been antagonistic towards the Israelis, but the latest attempt to shame our strongest ally has garnered bipartisan condemnation.

Recently, the US abstained from a UN vote that condemned Israel’s settlement building in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. This was just the latest attack on the tiny nation by the UN, which has no love for the only democratic nation in the Middle East.

As reported at the Daily Wire, the House of Representatives voted to condemn the United Nations’ resolution aimed at Israel.  The resolution to rebuff the UN passed 342-80, sending a crystal-clear message to the White House and the State Department that Congress does not agree with the UN’s ludicrous resolution or Obama’s tacit approval of it.

The House resolution said the UN’s decision was “one-sided and anti-Israel, reversing decades of bipartisan agreement.” It also said the UN’s verdict “undermines the prospect of Israelis and Palestinians resuming productive, direct negotiations” and “contributes to the politically motivated acts of boycott, divestment from, and sanctions against Israel and represents a concerted effort to extract concessions from Israel outside of direct negotiations between the Israelis and Palestinians, which must be actively rejected.”

The House measure also warns that the prospect of peace between the Jews and Palestinians has been undermined by the UN, saying that to “impose an agreement” on Israel about a Palestinian State, “will set back the cause of peace, harm the security of Israel, run counter to the enduring bipartisan consensus on strengthening the United States-Israel relationship, and weaken support for such organizations.”

The Senate is expected to draft their own UN rebuke, showing that there is broad consensus on this issue. Republicans have even floated the idea of defunding the UN, a move that would send a clear message. This would be a drastic but welcome response, as the UN has been an ineffectual organization for decades. It has failed on many fronts and become nothing more than an anti-Israel organization that is under the influence of radical Muslim organizations like CAIR and the OIC. The UN needs the US far more than the the reverse. It’s time for the US to consider withholding funds from the UN, and if necessary, pull out altogether.
